How it works:
1. Open one of the two lids and load your food waste in at any time. Hard, fibrous foods that need to be crushed go into the front lid, while softer, cooked food goes into the back lid.
2. The food waste will be pre-treated and deposited into a chamber below.
3. LILA will collect and process your food scraps over two weeks, turning them into compost. You can still add food scraps during this time.
4. After two weeks, the bottom left or right LED will flash green and purple. Take out the corresponding chamber and empty the compost.
5. After the first cycle, a new batch of compost will be ready every week (every 7 days).
